Springing into Easter at National Forest Adventure Farm

Post Category : Client News

FCM Associates is very pleased to be working with a Staffordshire family farm as it celebrates record visitor numbers in the run up to its much-loved Easter event.

The National Forest Adventure Farm, in Tatenhill, which saw visitor figures rocket this February half-term with numbers up 75% on last year, will open its doors for its popular Easter Eggstravaganza event from Saturday 13th April to Sunday 28th April.

The two-week Easter spectacular will include a rare glimpse of the farm’s 67 acres of National Forest woodland. Families will take the Easter Eggspress tractor ride to the woodland and follow the trail to meet the Easter Bunny who has 10,000 chocolate treats to give away.

There will also be the opportunity to meet and possibly see a live birth of some of the 335 new lambs due to be born in the Lambing Live Tent during April. Children can also help bottle feed the lambs in the animal barn.

With a new Animal Egg Treasure Hunt where guests are invited to search the farm for clues and match up all the animal eggs with their owners. From dinosaurs to frogs and ducks it will be a chance to find out more about the many animals around the world that lay eggs.

The farm attraction, which sees over 200,000 visitors a year, has recently appointed a new Events Manager and is looking to install new facilities this year, including a NEW musical outdoor activity opening in the spring.

“Expect to see lots more exciting new events and activities at the farm over Easter and the coming year,” said Ivor Robinson, who runs the farm attraction with his brother Tom Robinson.

“We are always pleased to see how well received our events have become by visitors, and with the recent appointment of our new Event Manager Xia Bury we are looking forward to developing ever more exciting interactive activities and events.”

Xia Bury, the farm’s new Event Manager, started in January having previously worked within the Nottingham University event’s team running a series of events, including the graduation ball.

The latest Easter Eggstravaganza event marks a series of themed activities that take place across the farm each year. It is also the only time that the farm’s woodland area, which was created in 2002 as part of its commitment to the National Forest, is available to the public.

Each year it is opened up at Easter to allow guests the chance to wander the woodland trail in search of the Easter Bunny’s home nestled within the 28,000 trees planted on the site.

Live actors also take part dressed as woodland creatures to entertain and help along the way.

The Easter Eggstravaganza opens on Saturday 13th April and runs every day until Sunday 28th April with a variety of extra crafts and activities as well as a trip on the Easter Eggspress.
