Global automotive parts manufacturer, Ginho Group, is celebrating reaching the finals of two regional business awards.

The Burton-based business has been named a finalist in the International Trade category at the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce Awards – which recognises companies who excel in exporting – and for the coveted Employer of the Year Award at the Burton and South Derbyshire Business Awards.

Ginho Group is a manufacturer of high-quality precision castings, components and assemblies for the automotive market and other sectors. The company exports around five million parts annually to customers across Europe from its premises located in Burton upon Trent.

Exporting from Burton since 2012, the company is embracing the opportunity to expand further through export into existing and new markets, especially now the UK can set its own trade policy and negotiate deals with other countries following Brexit.

European managing director Shaun Gray commented on being shortlisted at both awards, he said:

“As a business specifically focussed on exporting, we have been immensely challenged by both Brexit and the pandemic. We are incredibly proud of how our team has navigated these challenges to maintain supply to our customers so it’s great for them to get this recognition.”
